Trophies

Trophies are awarded for the following:

  • Best Float
  • Best decorated vehicle
  • Awards will be handed out at the end of the parade by the bandstand.

Judging

  • All entries will be judged on theme, detail, effort, originality, and ingenuity. 
  • Conformity to theme will be the only basis of eligibility for an award.
  • Float entries must be no more than 16 ft high and 10 feet wide.

Special Regulations

  • For all city officials that are in front of the parade, politicking with signs, t-shirts, pins, banners, etc. is not permitted. Let’s remember – you are representing the city, not politics.
  • We encourage our participants to pass out candy, pencils, coupons, fliers, etc.  All MUST BE HANDED TO THE PARADE GOERS and CANNOT BE THROWN.
  • Participants must have a visible sign on both sides of vehicle, or a banner must be carried if walking.
  • In the event of an emergency, all participants must MOVE TO THE RIGHT curb and come to a halt; remaining there until signaled to proceed again.
  • Any unlicensed vehicle is strictly PROHIBITED unless it is approved by the Parade Chairperson.

Any violators will NOT be able to partake in the parade and may be barred from future participation.

Deadline

Deadline for all entities to be received is August 9th 2026. Late entries may not be eligible for judging and may be placed in the rear of the parade.

We will call or email your position the week of the parade.

Parade line up information

Relay This Information To Your Participants!

North Olmsted High School

Line up no earlier than 12;30pm till 1:30pm

With kick off at 2 pm sharp

  • Make sure to give your participants your parade position color and number.
  • ENTER ONLY from the Middle School driveway (West driveway, NOT at the light at Dover/ Butternut) – Let the volunteer in the yellow shirt know your parade position color and number, they will direct you where to go. Please then follow the directional signs.
  • Only Floats, Parade Vehicles , and Drop Offs will be allowed on the High School/Middle School campus.
    NO parking is permitted
  • When Dropping Off: Parade participants looking for their group should go to a parade volunteer in a yellow shirt. They will direct you where to go.
  • If you have children participating with you, be sure to keep them on the inside of your spot, not on the outside along the drivepath. This will keep them safe.

ALL PARKING

  • North Olmsted Library – Across the street from the NOMS/NOHS
  • High School Tennis Courts (behind stadium) – Access only from Burns and Revere Roads
